Online Course: The Logic of the Epistles (Advanced Arcing/Bracketing)

This online, interactive course serves to strengthen one’s Arcing or Bracketing skills, particularly in the genre of epistles. The biblical epistles are pervasively logical in nature, and Arcing and Bracketing are among the most helpful tools for understanding their arguments. With each offering of this course you will have the opportunity to arc or bracket through a different epistle with the framework of live and interactive lectures, organized groups discussions and thoughtful feedback on assignments.

Standard enrollment  $149 ($139 with early enrollment)
One-on-one enrollment  $249 ($239 with early enrollment)

Prerequisites  Completion of Introduction to Arcing, Introduction to Bracketing or Arcing 101

One-on-one enrollment  One-on-one enrollment allows you to enjoy a half hour of one-on-one time with the instructor each week, in addition to the standard provisions of the course. Up to the time of this post, 100% of one-on-one enrollees gave their one-on-one time the highest possible rating in the post-course survey.

Grading  Students who complete this course with a display of proficiency in Arcing or Bracketing can receive an increased star rating on their Biblearc account. Star ratings (still in development) will allow people searching shared work the ability to find the arcs and brackets of those users who have had training in these methods.

Live Lectures  This course use Google’s Hangouts on Air to facilitate the live lectures. All participants will be required to register for a free Google+ account. (We will provide you information on how to do so.)

When is payment required in order to receive the early bird discount? Also, what day and time will the lectures take place?

Those who enroll on or before July 24th will receive the early enrollment discount. For this introductory course, lectures will not be live, but will be released on Mondays and Thursdays and viewable anytime after they are released.

I am registered for Arcing 101. I am planning on taking The Logic of the Epistles (Advanced Arcing/Bracketing) at some point as well. Do you recommend taking these back-to-back or taking time to get very familiar with arcing before taking the advanced course? If you recommend waiting, when do you plan on offering the advanced course again?

I assume you mean that you are registered for Introduction to Arcing (Arcing 101 is the free, self-directed tutorial). Regarding your question, this depends on each individual. But for those with the time and motivation, I do recommend taking these back-to-back. For this reason we are offering The Logic of the Epistles after this introductory course ends. (We do not plan on offering the epistles course again until the Spring.)

Will these videos be able to be downloaded and kept after they are recorded live for the sake of review?

These videos will not be available for download, however they will be indefinitely available to participants for streaming after their live recording.
