How about a Resolution to Dig Deeper into God’s Word?

Studying online is convenient, but studying with others is more motivating and encouraging. Can you do both? Yes. Take the Arcing Path Course with Discussion enrollment. Benefit from the flexibility and convenience of a self-scheduled online course, and benefit from interaction with others through discussion groups.

100% of Arcing Path Course students who finished the course recommend the course to others. Here is what they are saying…

“Arcing is not so much a skill to be obtained as it is a gift of discovery that will open your heart, and then open your eyes, to deeper, life-giving meaning in God’s Word.” – David, former student

“I was amazed at how much simpler the process of summarizing a passage became once I put forth the effort of arcing. Deeply thinking through passages, plus writing out the summary, has given me a starting point for meditating over Scripture, and thus allowing it to truly change me through the work of the Holy Spirit.” – Kelly, former student

“Each lesson was fun and different. I’m glad they talked about things like the main point verses your favorite point, finding the deeper logical relations…arcing different genres…other techniques, and arcing extended passages. I also loved the prayer and the devotional at the start of each lesson. Thanks so much! I want all of my friends to arc!” – Robert, former student

“Why I Love Biblearc” Video Contest

I do not know about you, but I love Biblearc.

I do not say that because I created the site and continue to develop it, though those things are true. I say it because I love seeing wonders in the Word of God, and Arcing helps me do that. I say it because I need help from the Bible to understand tough verses, and Biblearc gives me such help via easy-to-use cross references and translation notes. I say it because I love Greek and Hebrew and there are a ton of powerful search, parsing and lexicon tools on Biblearc. And I could go on, because I really do love Biblearc.

We believe that there are more people who might come to love Biblearc and so are initiating a video contest to help spread the word. If you love Biblearc, we invite you spend an hour or two making a creative video in order to tell people why. Here is an example that my kids (and I) put together.

Contest Instructions

  • Make a short (less than 2 minutes) video that focuses on a particular reason why you love Biblearc.
  • Each video must include the text “” at some point within the video.
  • Upload the video to YouTube, Vimeo or another video streaming provider.
  • Share the video via a blog, Twitter or a public Facebook page.
  • Email us a link to where this video has been shared.
  • Note: Videos will be judged based on creativity of presentation and how enjoyable they are to watch and must be submitted by the end of July.

Contest Prizes

  1. First place will receive a free year of The Biblearc Subscription with Learning Resources add-on ($110 value)
  2. Second place will receive a free year of The Biblearc Subscription (a $47 value)
  3. Everyone who follows the instructions and submits a video will receive a free month of The Biblearc Subscription.

Practical Thoughts

The video above took me less than two hours from start to finish and proved to be a fun time with my kids. I used my Android phone to film about 10 roughly 20 second clips and then uploaded it all to YouTube. I then used the YouTube Video Editor (found under Enhancements) to put the clips together and add in the text and music. Using iMovie is another good option for those with a Mac.
